  • Company, Inc v Gutnick

    Joe Gutnick--an Australian businessman--sued Dow Jones--the publishers of a magazine, available both on and off-line, that contained an allegedly defamatory article about the plaintiff. It was ruled that an Internet article is published wherever it is read, rather than where the publisher is based.
