We actively encourage our students to enter competitions and participate in teamworking challenges. One of these is the Global Management Challenge a business simulation game which provides a unique opportunity to improve knowledge of the business world and put theory and skills into practice.

Business and Management
- Graduate Certificate in Management Studies (Access Foundation Pre-Masters Course)
Study online (9 months). Gain access to a wide range of management masters degrees through this course.
- Accounting and Finance BA/BA (Hons)
Professionally accredited by ICAS. The course covers Accountancy, Finance and Business Skills. Placement recognised as training with opportunity to qualify as Chartered Accountant 12 months earlier.
- Management BA/BA (Hons)
Four year full time course with a one year paid vocational placement or opportunity to study abroad. Graduates can apply for Associate Membership of the Chartered Management Institute (ACMI).
- Management with Economics BA/BA (Hons)
Modules include European Economy and Economics of International Business. Year 3 has a placement opportunity nationally or internationally. The course is recognised by ICAS and CIMA.
- Management with Finance BA/BA (Hons)
This course covers Corporate Financial Management and International Finance. It is recognised by ICAS and IPD.
- Management with Human Resource Management BA/BA (Hons)
This full time course covers People Management, Organisational Behaviour and Employee Relations. It also offers a work placement or the opportunity to study abroad.
- Management with Marketing BA/BA (Hons)
Full time course covering Marketing Communications, Consumer Psychology and International Marketing with placement opportunities in Year 3.
- Management BA/BA (Hons) (Part-time/Evenings)
This is the ONLY taught part-time business degree course offered in the North of Scotland. Subjects areas include Economics, Marketing, HRM, Quality Management and Business Law.
- Politics and Management BA/BA (Hons)
This course covers subjects such as Political Leadership and Democracy in Theory and Practice. It offers the option of specialisation in particular area of politics.
Communication and Media
- Communication with Public Relations BA/BA (Hons)
Subjects covered include Communication Principles, Media and Publishing and Corporate Communication. There is also a placement opportunity in Year 3.
- Media Studies BA/BA (Hons)
The subjects covered include Film Production, Radio and TV Broadcast Journalism and Media Law. It also offers a Year 3 placement opportunity.
- Journalism BA/BA (Hons)
The course covers Editorial writing, Broadcast Journalism, Web Design, PR and Media Theory combined with an industry placement.
- Publishing with Journalism BA/BA (Hons)
This course is Open to Direct Entrants ONLY and covers subjects as such editorial processes, print journalism, broadcast journalism. It has a six week work placement.
Hospitality, Tourism and Retail
- Fashion Management BA/BA (Hons)
A project-based course covering Fashion Buying, Retail Environment and Advertising. Placement available in Year 3.
- International Hospitality Management BA/BA (Hons)
Covers Business Enterprise skills, People Management or Food Safety. Possible entry to Year 3 with an HND in Hospitality Management.
- Retail Management BA/BA (Hons)
The course covers Fashion Buying and International Retailing combined with Communication. Placements are highly regarded by industry employers.
- International Tourism Management BA/BA (Hons)
This full time course covers Business Enterprise skills, HRM and Tourism and Hospitality. Possible entry to Year 3 with HND in Hospitality.
Law
- Law LLB with Honours (4 Years)
Professionally accredited by The Law Society of Scotland. The course provides the law subjects required for entry into the legal profession including Family Law, European Law and Contract Law
- Law & Management BA/BA (Hons)
Recognised by the Law Society of Scotland. This course includes Consumer Law, Criminal Law with Economics and Management plus an 18 week paid placement in Year 3. Language options available.
